If you know anything about the Sweet Tooth Hotel, you know it isn’t really a hotel. Despite its name, it is actually an experiential art gallery where taking pictures and touching the art are highly encouraged.
When you first walk in, you are immediately surrounded by art that reflects its name, from the candy hearts lining the wall behind the check-in counter, to the giant neon ice cream cone glowing through the window. But when I visited on Saturday, there was something else peculiar about the installation: Everything had been yarn-bombed.
Sweet Tooth Hotel was giving a preview of its next installation, a collaboration with TONI&GUY USA and Craft Yarn Council called Intangible."
