Announcing Intangible - Spring 2020

Announcing Sweet Tooth Hotel's 2020 art installation, Intangible - a fiber fairytale launched in collaboration with Craft Yarn Council and TONI & GUY USA

Imagine, walking into a colorfully immersive environment made entirely of fiber, exploding with vibrancy and texture. As you walk from room to room, new adventures await you in art installations you can’t help but sink your hands, and mind, into.

Intangible will showcase some of the top fiber artists from around the United States, including yarn-bomb extraordinaire London Kaye (Los Angeles, CA), Fiber Artist Niki Dionne (Dallas, TX), Muralist and Illustrator Alli Koch (Dallas, TX), Fiber Artist Jackie Lawrence (Denton, TX), Installation Fiber Artist and Yarn Bomber Hannah Busekrus (Austin, TX), Crochet Designer Twinkie Chan (San Francisco, CA) and Textile Designer Molly Sydnor (Dallas, TX). Each artist has been given a dedicated space to create their own whimsical fairytale world completely made from fiber.

In addition, the bar will become a cereal bar featuring alcoholic and non-alcoholic options and brand new décor, as well as a space for fiber workshops and drop off donations to Craft Yarn Council’s charity Warm Up America!.

Supporters of Sweet Tooth Hotel can buy their tickets now and book their visit in 2020 before the installation opens. Every ticket helps pay the artists and $1 from each ticket will be donated to Warm Up America! to help the charity provide more warm items to people in need in 2020.

Austin Finley, TONI & GUY USA Creative Director, and Yasmina Johnston TONI & GUY USA Fashion Director, created an elaborate yarn wig and original wardrobe for the campaign photoshoot.

“I pulled inspiration from several places, like Japanese amine, Vivienne Westwood, Jivomir Domoustchiev, Iris Van Herpen and the changing of seasons,” said Austin Finley, TONI & GUY Creative Director. “The pieces we’ve created for Intangible are definitely distinct and beautiful.”

The shoot features model Saige Singer, shot by Timothy Alsbrooks (TA_Visuals) and edit by Taylor Cleveland.

BONUS: Pre-purchase your tickets for Intangible before December 31, 2020 and you'll also be invited to special preview day at Sweet Tooth Hotel to meet the artists.
